Every year I have exclusive access to a number of private homes and their extensive grounds. The locations are carefully chosen for the appealing architecture and mature gardens which provide opportunities for truly unique portraits. Portrait days usually take place on a Sunday and are incredibly popular. Sessions are limited with previous portrait clients  invited to reserve a session and then any remaining sessions will be open for new clients. A portrait session last one hour.

This beautiful listed property is located a couple of miles outside of Nantwich with a secluded countryside aspect. Although the garden, and orchard are very pretty many of my portraits make use of the incredible natural features of the interior of the house.

The property is  the home of my good friends E-J and Chris McLain who have an energetic son, Harry and two friendly cats. E-J booked me to photograph Harry’s third birthday a number of years ago and we have been friends ever since. They very generously open their home for my portrait days as well as charitable events.

Haughton Hall is located about a mile from Bunbury and encompasses a walled kitchen garden, vast landscaped gardens and a lake. An impressive tree lined driveway offers shade on bright days with an interesting aspect. It is such a wonderful place and has a quiet presence where you can escape from the world. The BBC used both the hall and grounds for a filming in Autumn 2014 of a WW1 drama due for release in 2015.

My favourite part of this property is the grounds. Every season brings something special, every year varies in colour and feel. I also have access to part of the private home which belongs to Becky and Philip Posnett, their children and dogs who are often around when I am shooting there. They always say Hello and Stella the dog often follows me and my cameras. She usually ends up chasing rabbits.
